Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook

When Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook, he never intended for it to become the largest social-networking platform on the planet with more than 400 million users and counting. He originally created the platform for Harvard students, but soon realised its potential to attract a far bigger audience – so big that at 26 he was declared the youngest self-made billionaire in history. Despite being a Harvard dropout, Zuckerberg's net worth is US$19 billion and shares of Facebook have more than doubled in the past year.
